The Gamble - Radio 4

A three part series about the connection between risk and creativity, narrated by the actor Noma Dumezweni.

In the first programme, the connection between gambling and Lucien Freud’s artwork is examined. The second programme looks at three different artists (actor Juliet Stevenson, singer Laura Mvula and pianist Mark Springer) take chances and push themselves to their artistic limits to create their best work. The last programme in the series looks at the work of Bryony Kimmings.
